Hi,

I have access to a waterjet, powder coating, and discount metal. Once I create my grinder, I could provide materials to those wanting to build this grinder.

I do have to pay for time spent using the waterjet, so this would be factored in. By the way, I live in MD.

Thanks Leon. Based on the file, how much do you reckon it would cost in Maryland? I am in Canada and mine cost me equivalent to USD $350. Hopefully the local guy wasn't giving me too much of a break.

Dan,

I have to wait until Monday (Tuesday at the latest) to get a quote on the metal.

I have received quotes for the metal from two sources and it appears that $350 USD is in the ball park. That includes acquiring the material and cutting on the waterjet.

Powder coating (approximately $75 USD) and shipping would be in addition to the above.

Shipping charges are around $36 USD through USPS. This is a flat fee for anywhere in the U.S.

My waterjet is down for now. Once fixed I feel that all the metal will fit.

I will post photos once I cut the first one. Heck, I'll probably powder coat it to see what it looks like.

You may want to shop around the files to fabrication shops that have lasers. Laser seems to be coming in much cheaper than water jet.
