Hello From Denton Texas!

Post by kylemcdougal » Fri Feb 09, 2018 10:13 pm

Hello! My name is Kyle and I'm an Engineering student at the University of North Texas. I'm starting to get interested in knife making but I'm mostly interested in general fabrication and machining. I've downloaded the DXF files, imported them into Solidworks and extruded them, then loaded everything into a Solidworks Assembly file. I hope to add all the holes, bolts, springs and other misc. parts to this model and the upload it back to the forum so that anyone that has access to a CAD program can use the assembly. I'll also post the individual files extruded in to parts. I'll post in .sldprt and stl files so hopefully most any CAD software can open them. Then I can get to any modifications I might wanna do and build my own!

Hi Kyle,

Thanks for joining us. I wish I had the talent to be a CAD specialist. If you can add some of your expertise it would be greatly appreciated!
