Deeper D Plate
As an improvement suggestion would be to make a deeper D plate so the wheels and the tool arm are farther apart. This will allow for a person with large hands to work the left side of the platen without hitting the tool arm.

I did a little reading on high resolution plasma cutting and yes, one of those machines would do a fine job.

Based on my build I'd like to suggest some improvements. In no particular order. 1. It would be nice if the drive wheel had an offset hub. It's certainly on the motor shaft and the key is locked down, but when up against a 3/8" plate there's only maybe 1.5" of usable shaft. 2. Have a place to mount ...
