I'd like a platen/contact wheel option. I've seen the Caffrey Platen (https://www.caffreyknives.net/grinder_platen.html) and like the idea of having a smaller radius rubber contact wheel. It would be simple enough to fabricate. The wheels are not as common as plain old alum ones though.

Not a bad price at all. Does this include the steel or only the service? Either way it's a great start. Almost all the hard work will be out of the way.

Sounds very much like the motor is wired for 460 V. Check the wiring is for 230 V. This will be on the motor nameplate or a wiring diagram should be attached to the motor.
